After School Program

The goal of the CSE After School Program is to extend beyond the classrooms the education of literacy and math, as well as provide enriching activities that meet the diverse interests of our 2nd-8th grade students. The After School Program runs throughout the school year from 4:30-6:00 pm, with Mondays and Wednesdays being Academic days and Tuesdays as Enrichment. Teachers create curriculum and lesson plans to support students with their math and reading comprehension as well as homework help from the Educational Assistants. Mondays focus on literacy and Wednesdays focus on math.

CSE offers 15 different Enrichment Programs on Tuesdays. The purpose is to encourage students to gain new skills that accelerate the learning process. From culture learning to crafts making, the classes we offer are:

Arts and Crafts
Break Dance
Chinese Culture
Drum Circles
Hip Hop
Hmong Culture
Japanese Art
